At the age of four, Brett Metcalfe started racing and became a dominate force in the Pee Wee 50cc mini cycle class in his native Southern Australia. After winning several amateur titles and competing in world title series events, Metcalfe turned professional in 2003. With his 2007 season shortened due to injuries, Metcalfe is ready to make 2008 his break-out year.

2007
• Sitting out the supercross season due to an injury from the previous season, Metcalfe made his return during the AMA Motocross Championship Series. Although he sat out four rounds with a broken thumb, he had a dominant return with three podium finishes to end the season seventh overall.
2006
• Metcalfe entered into the 2006 season with several years experience and was ready to make a charge. He had seven top-ten finishes in the AMA West Supercross Lites Series. Of those, two were second-place podiums at San Francisco and Seattle. Metcalfe fared slightly better in the AMA Motocross Championship where he strung together seven top-ten finishes, taking fifth overall for the season.
2005
• Metcalfe earned top-five finishes at San Francisco and Anaheim III in the AMA West Supercross Lites Series. In the AMA Motocross Lites Championship, he finished tenth overall at the final race at Glen Helen Raceway. Later that year, Metcalfe won the U.S. Open of Supercross.
2004
• In his second season racing in the U.S., Metcalfe raced in the AMA East Supercross Lites Series and his season best was fourth place overall at the Indianapolis Supercross. In the Motocross Lites Championship, he finished tenth overall at Southwick and 17th overall for the season.
2003
• Metcalfe raced in the AMA East Supercross Lites Series in his first year as a professional motocross racer. His best finish was third place at Reliant Park in Houston, Texas. In the Motocross Lites Championship, he took fifth overall at Unadilla Valley Sports Center in New Berlin, N.Y. |
