Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I re-pack my silencer?

Generally you should re-pack your silencer every 10–15 hours, but this is not always the case.  Some riders, like Desert riders, have been known to use a packing cartridge in as little as an hour.  Obviously that is under extreme conditions, but it has happened.  There have also been riders that have used the same packing cartridge for over a year without damaging the silencer, but again this is a rare case.  One way of telling if you need to re-pack your silencer is if you notice your bike is getting louder than usual.  Another indicator would be discoloration in the mid pipe section or even worse, the actual canister. Another way would be to remove the exhaust from the bike and knock on the canister, if it sounds hollow; it most likely needs to be re-packed.  Always remember it’s a lot cheaper to replace the packing cartridge than it is to replace the exhaust.

Do I need to run race fuel with your pistons? If so what fuels do you recommend?

You don’t have to use race fuel when using our pistons, although we do recommend it.  For 4-stroke applications we recommend using VP Race fuel U4.4, and for 2-strokes we recommend VP Race fuel C12.  If you aren’t going to use Race fuel we do recommend you use a higher-octane pump fuel.  For more questions regarding fuel you can contact our service department at (951) 738-8050.

What does the Linkage Arm do for my bike?

Pro Circuit Linkage Arms were designed to stiffen up the initial linkage curve and lower the chassis, making the bike much more stable.  This will also help eliminate the initial loose and wallowy feel.  Turning and cornering capabilities are greatly improved as well.  Click here to view the Linkage Arm product page.

Do you repair damaged exhaust?

You need to email us at info@procircuit.com for your exhaust to be inspected and we will determine what repairs or replacements you need, at which point we will contact you and let you know what the cost will be. If you are looking for a warranty check out our warranty policy

How are your exhausts tunable?

Pro Circuit exhaust (4-stroke only) can be tuned by changing the end-caps and inserts.  When you purchase an exhaust from Pro Circuit, it will come ready to meet AMA sound requirements and with the end-cap and insert that we found will give you the best performance overall.  There are some riders that prefer more bottom-mid range power though, so to make this happen all you will need to do is purchase an insert that is smaller in diameter.  Keep in mind when you put on an insert smaller than the one you have, you’ll notice a reduction in sound level.  For a full description of our end-caps/inserts view our product page.

What is the turn around time for motor work and suspension?

Normally turn around time for Motor and Suspension work is about 5-7 business days.  Pro Circuit operates on a first come first serve basis though.  There are certain times of the year when we are more busy than usual so best thing to do would be to ask your sales representative at the time you send us your parts.  Also keep in mind that complete motors may require parts from the manufacturer.  If this is the case the turn around may be longer than the usual 5-7 business days.

When will my back ordered parts arrive?

Pro Circuit will always try to avoid back order situations.  However, if a back order situation does occur, we will take your order and then call you as soon as the product is again available.  For more information on back orders you can contact one of our sales representatives at (951) 738-8050 or e-mail us at info@procircuit.com

Do you sponsor riders?

Yes we do sponsor riders.  As an Industry leader in aftermarket performance parts we have created a Race support program to assist riders of all ages and skill levels.  When considering a rider for support, we look at the how well he or she will represent Pro Circuit on and off the track.  We also look at past results, what races you will be attending and what your goals are for the future.  Above all we expect our support riders to believe in our product like we do.  For more information on our Rider Support Program or questions on how you can submit a resume check out our Factory Support Team page.
